The International Education School was founded in January 2018, it is a subordinate school of our college that is responsible for teaching foreign languages for the whole college, educational management of foreign-related students and the foreign students studying in China, international cooperation and exchange. It is mainly in charge of managing teaching foreign languages for the whole college, educational management of foreign-related students, education and cooperation of Chinese-foreign cooperative educational programs, managing foreign experts and teachers, as well as work like international cooperation and exchange, hosting training service of TOEFL, IELTS and consultative service for going abroad.

      Teacher Force

      The International Education School has powerful teacher force, currently there are 33 full-time teachers, 15 part-time teachers (40 English language teachers, 2 Japanese language teachers, 3 German language teachers), among which there are 2 professors, 9 associate professors, 3 experts and elites of this industry are employed as guest professors, the teachers that have master’s or higher degrees account for 53%, teachers of “double professor type” account for 75%; one teacher is in the Advisory Committee of Foreign Language Teaching in Vocational Education, Ministry of Education, one teacher is a deputy director member of the Committee of Foreign Language Teaching in Higher Vocational Education, Hunan Province, one is a consultative and judging expert of planning projects in “the 13^th 5-year plan” for education and science of Hunan Province, 2 teachers are judging experts of teaching competition of Hunan Province, 3 teachers are youth cadre teachers of Hunan Province.

   The International Education School has a team of teachers that are outstanding in their majors and have perfect mastery of qualities, many teachers have been awarded in all kinds of teaching competitions in Hunan Province, the teachers instructed students to participate in competitions of English skills or professional skills and have gained good results for many times.

      Education and Management

     Set in the era of “The Belt and Road Initiative”, the International Education School is in accordance with the mission of internationalized education, based on the principle of “introducing in and going out”, aiming at “cultivating applicative talents of advanced techniques with high qualities”, emphasizing on quality-oriented education and cultivating abilities, strenuously introducing advanced educational module and managerial measures from abroad, trying its best to build studying environment and scientific research atmosphere that is in line with the international world.

     The International Education School is based on international vision and global awareness, It centralizes prior educational resource, continually optimizes educational conditions. With regards to the educational methods, individualized education is emphasized on. Via approaches like situational discussion, imitated simulation, field study, etc, leading students to think independently, to exploit and to innovate, it lets students learn in happiness.

     International Education and Training

     Currently, the International Education School has classes of nursing curriculum in two directions, namely “the study-employment program with full scholarship for going to Japan”, and “the employment program for going to Germany”, the students enrolled count up to nearly 300. Meanwhile, it is engaged in promoting training programs of TOEFL and IELTS. It cooperates with authoritative schools of language training, opening classes for learning TOEFL and IELTS, aiming at helping the students of our college who prepare to go abroad for study to overcome language obstacles and improve the applicative techniques of English.

      Exterritorial Cooperation and Exchange

      Actively building cooperative platforms outside the border and establishing partnership of strategic cooperation, it has become the vice-chairman of International Exchange Association of Hunan Education and a member of China-Germany Alliance of Vocational Education. It has successively established friendly cooperative relationship with 10 institutions, i.e. Khmer-Chinese Association, Ohlone College of U.S.，US-China Culture & Education Foundation, Trade Promotion Committee of Pakistan (China)，Atlas Study Consultants, Taiwan Vocational Training Development Association, Chien Hsin University of Science and Technology of Chinese Taiwan, Jinan Rongde Culture Transmission Company Ltd., etc.

      Foreign Affairs and Other Jobs

     The International Education School is an important window for the foreign communication of Yueyang Vocational Technical College. It is in charge of the educational management of foreign-related students and foreign students, education and management of Chinese-Foreign cooperative educational programs, management of foreign experts and foreign teachers, as well as international cooperation and communication in foreign affairs, consultation, reception and communication of overseas study programs, it cooperates with the foreign affairs administration and public security of our province or city to examine and supervise foreign affairs work.
