英语教授、英语专业研究生。20多年来，长期从事英语教学、研究和翻译实践。1989年至1990年在美国研修，1991年至1993年在特立尼达和多巴哥共和国援外，多次受聘担任出国考察和外事接待的翻译工作。出版《英语国家文化学习导引》、《计算机英语实用手册》和《罗氏沼虾养殖技术》等专著和译著，主编和参编《中南六省农业中专英语教程》、《湖南省中专英语》等教材，主持省级课题1项，参与国家、省级课题3项，在《船山学刊》、《外语教学与翻译》、《云梦学刊》、《湖南社会科学》发表《英汉语种几种常见修辞格的对比研究》、《英语口译中要注意的几个问题》、《China考源于圣经预言中的中国》、《从委婉语对比看英汉民族价值观和道德观的差异》等学术论文30多篇。现为湖南省科技协会理事，湖南省高职英语教学研究会常务理事，岳阳市翻译协会副董事长，院学术委员会委员。

He is a professor of English and a postgraduate of English major. Since over 20 years ago, he has long been engaged in education, research and translation practices of English. He researched and studied in the U.S. from 1989 to 1990, he offered foreign aid in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago from 1991 to 1993, he has been employed to do translation in investigation abroad and reception of foreigners. He has published monographs and translated works like Navigation for Studying Literature of English Speaking Countries, Applicative Brochure of Computer English, and Cultivating Techniques of Giant Freshwater Prawn, has hosted or participated in the edition of textbooks like English Courses for Agricultural Technical Secondary School in 6 Central-Southern Provinces, English for Technical Secondary School in Hunan Province, he has hosted 1 study of provincial-level and has participated 3 national-level and provincial-level, he has also published over 30 academic theses like A Comparative Study of Several Common Rhetoric Styles in English and Chinese, Several Questions to Pay Attention in English Interpreting, Word China is Verified to origin from China in the Bible Prophecy, Comparing the Differences of Views on Value and Morality in English and Chinese Nationalities from Euphemism etc in the Chuanshan Academic Periodical, the English Education and Translation, the Yunmeng Academic Periodical, the Hunan Social Science. Now he is the director of the Science Association of Hunan Province, the routine director of research association of Higher-Vocational English Education in Hunan Province, the Vice Director of the Translation Association of Yueyang City, a member of the academic committee of our college.
